Welcome to the Sunrise NPPA Derm Association website (“Website”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website, membership services, educational resources, event registrations, payment services, newsletters, and other activities provided by Sunrise NPPA Derm Association (“Association,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using this Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website.

2. About the Association

Sunrise NPPA Derm Association is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Association supports professional education, collaboration, networking, and activities related to dermatology and the healthcare professionals who serve this field.

The Association may update its programs, services, membership offerings, and Website features as needed to support its mission and operations.

3. Eligibility and Membership

Membership may be available to nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals with an interest in dermatology, subject to the Association’s membership criteria and applicable policies.

Individuals applying for membership must provide accurate and current information, including professional credentials when requested.

Membership categories, eligibility requirements, dues, benefits, renewal procedures, and participation requirements may be established by the Association and updated periodically.

Membership does not constitute professional licensure, certification, accreditation, or an endorsement of an individual’s qualifications by the Association.

Members are expected to act professionally, respectfully, and ethically during Association activities, online interactions, educational programs, and events.

The Association reserves the right to review applications, establish reasonable membership requirements, and take appropriate action regarding membership when necessary, consistent with its governing documents and applicable law.

4. Website Use and User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for fraudulent, unlawful, misleading, or harmful purposes.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, accounts, servers, or associated systems.

  • Interfere with the Website’s security, operation, or availability.

  • Upload malicious software or harmful code.

  • Submit false, misleading, or unauthorized information.

  • Infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.

  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users, members, speakers, or Association representatives.

  • Copy, distribute, or commercially exploit Website materials without authorization.

We reserve the right to restrict access or take appropriate action in response to violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

5. Membership Dues, Payments, and Donations

The Website may accept payments for membership dues, event registrations, educational programs, donations, and other Association activities.

By submitting a payment, you agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable payment processor to process the transaction.

Applicable fees, payment terms, and renewal conditions will be communicated before payment is completed.

Membership dues and event fees are separate from voluntary donations. Making a donation does not automatically grant membership privileges or provide access to paid events.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Association may provide donation acknowledgments or receipts where appropriate. Tax deductibility depends on applicable law and the circumstances of the contribution. Donors should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their individual circumstances.

Payments may be processed by third-party providers and will be subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices. The Association does not intend to store full payment card numbers or security codes on its own Website systems.

6. Refunds, Cancellations, and Event Changes

Refund eligibility for membership dues, donations, event registrations, and educational programs will be governed by the specific refund policy provided at the time of registration or payment.

Where no separate policy is provided, refund requests will be reviewed individually by the Association, subject to applicable law.

If an event or program is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, relocated, or materially changed, the Association will communicate relevant information and any available refund, credit, or alternative arrangements in accordance with the applicable event policy and law.

Participants are responsible for reviewing event-specific cancellation and refund terms before completing registration.

Donations are generally voluntary and nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly authorized by the Association.

Nothing in this section limits any refund or other rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.

7. Events, Conferences, and Professional Activities

The Association may organize in-person conferences, meetings, workshops, networking opportunities, webinars, and other professional activities.

Schedules, speakers, venues, program content, and other event details may change when reasonably necessary.

Participants are expected to follow event rules, venue requirements, safety instructions, and professional conduct standards.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and personal belongings.

Registration for an event does not guarantee the availability of a particular speaker, presentation, or program component unless expressly stated in the applicable event description.

8. Continuing Education and Educational Credits

The Association may offer educational activities that provide or qualify for continuing education credits, subject to the approval, accreditation, or other requirements applicable to each program.

The availability of continuing education credits depends on the specific program and its applicable approval or accreditation arrangements. The Association does not guarantee that every program will offer credits or that credits will be accepted by every licensing board, employer, credentialing organization, or professional association.

Where credits are offered, participants are responsible for reviewing and satisfying applicable requirements, which may include attendance, participation, evaluations, examinations, or completion of other required activities.

Certificates of completion or educational credit documentation will be provided according to the requirements of the applicable program.

Participants are responsible for confirming that educational activities satisfy their individual licensing, certification, and professional development requirements.

9. Webinars and Online Education

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the equipment, internet access, and software necessary to access online programs.

The Association does not guarantee uninterrupted access to webinars or other online educational services and is not responsible for technical difficulties caused by a participant’s device, internet connection, software, or third-party platform.

Registration links and access credentials may be intended solely for the registered participant. Sharing restricted access credentials or redistributing paid educational materials without authorization is prohibited.

Participants may not record, reproduce, distribute, or publicly share webinars, presentations, or other restricted educational materials without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.

Additional attendance, participation, and recording requirements may apply to individual programs.

The Association does not guarantee clinical outcomes or warrant that every educational resource is complete, current, or free from error.

Opinions expressed by speakers, contributors, members, or third parties do not necessarily represent the views of the Association. Inclusion of a product, treatment, service, or speaker does not automatically constitute an endorsement.

11. Intellectual Property and Educational Materials

Unless otherwise indicated, the Website’s original content, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, designs, educational materials, and other resources, is owned by or used with permission by the Association and may be protected by intellectual property laws.

Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to additional restrictions.

12. User Submissions and Communications

When submitting comments, photographs, documents, testimonials, questions, or other materials to the Association, you represent that you have the right to submit those materials and that they do not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights.

You are responsible for ensuring that submitted materials are accurate, lawful, and appropriate.

Submitting information through the Website does not automatically create a confidential, advisory, employment, partnership, or other special relationship with the Association.

We reserve the right to review, decline, or remove submissions that are unlawful, inappropriate, misleading, or inconsistent with our policies.

13. Photography, Video, and Event Recordings

The Association may photograph or record certain events for educational, archival, promotional, or organizational purposes.

Where required by law, the Association will provide appropriate notice and obtain necessary consent or authorization.

Participants who have concerns about appearing in photographs or recordings should contact the Association before the event to discuss available arrangements.

Participants may not photograph, record, or distribute another individual’s private or confidential information without appropriate authorization.

Any separate event-specific recording or media consent terms will apply where relevant.

14. Privacy and Confidentiality

Your use of the Website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.

The Website may use WordPress, third-party hosting services, payment processors, newsletter platforms, analytics tools, and other services to support its operations. Their handling of information may be governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

Participants and members are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow members, speakers, attendees, and other individuals.

Do not submit identifiable patient information, medical records, confidential clinical photographs, or other sensitive health information through general Website forms or ordinary email.

The Association’s Privacy Policy is available on the Website and should be reviewed alongside these Terms.

15. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may contain links to external websites, payment providers, social media platforms, educational resources, and event registration services.

The Association does not control or guarantee the accuracy, availability, security, or practices of external websites.

Your use of third-party websites and services is subject to their respective terms, conditions, and privacy policies.

The inclusion of a link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement by the Association.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

The Association makes no express or implied warranties regarding the Website’s availability, reliability, accuracy, completeness, suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not guarantee that the Website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Association and its directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and authorized service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Website or its content.

This provision applies only to the extent such limitations are permitted by law and does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that applicable law prohibits us from limiting.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Website, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This provision does not require you to indemnify the Association for losses caused by the Association’s own conduct where such indemnification would be prohibited by law.

19. Electronic Communications

By using the Website or communicating with the Association electronically, you agree to receive electronic responses to inquiries and communications related to your requests, registrations, membership, or transactions.

Where required, the Association will obtain consent for electronic communications and provide appropriate options to manage nonessential email subscriptions.

You may unsubscribe from newsletters and promotional communications using the unsubscribe link provided or by contacting the Association. Administrative and transactional messages may still be sent when necessary.

20. Changes to These Terms

The Association may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in its activities, Website features, services, or applicable legal requirements.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the Website after revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We encourage users to review these Terms periodically.

21. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute relating to these Terms will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction as permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from exercising rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Association’s Privacy Policy and any applicable membership policies, event-specific terms, and refund policies, govern the subjects addressed in those documents.

If a specific written agreement or event policy expressly addresses a particular matter differently, that agreement or policy will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.
